A: No, all the clever call routing and response taking is done before your phone rings.

Q: How does this fit in with my current system?

A: We have made a feature of this being stand alone, although you can have any degree of integration with your system.

Q: How quickly can a brand new campaign be set up?

A: Depending how bespoke the required service is, you could be live within minutes of contacting us.

Q: How do I stop receiving messages?

A: To unsubscribe from marketing messages, customers can text the word STOP to 80010.

Q: Who can I send marketing messages to?

A: The people you are sending messages to need to have 'opted in'. Unsolicited texts with non targeted messages can lead to complaints.

Q: Where do the mobile numbers come from to send messages to?

A: Curved Air provides the facility for customers to respond to marketing by texting in to a short code. This can be in the form of competitions, recruitment, voting, reverse auctions and many other services. This allows you to capture and build your mobile database of users and build groups to contact in future promotions.

Q: How much does it cost the customer to send an SMS to a short code?

A: Curved Air have a selection of tariffs to choose from to suit individual campaigns. There are 'free' short codes, which work in the same way as a freephone 0800 number, we have 'standard network rate' short codes which can be part of the end user's sms bundle package or cost 10p-12p, and also have 25p, 50p, £1, £1.50, up to £10 per SMS. There is a revenue share to our clients on these Premium SMS tariffs.

Q: What is the maximum length of an SMS?

A: 160 characters. For multi-page messages, you will need to contact us prior to a send.

Q: Which networks are supported?

A: All UK mobile networks including O2, Orange, Vodafone and T-Mobile.

Q: What are Short Codes?

A: Global telephone numbers that can be used to address SMS and MMS messages from mobile phones. UK short codes are usually 5 digits in length and can be shared or dedicated. When using a shared short code, a 'keyword' must be specified at the start of the message.
